The Walker's Friendly Ghost

The Ghost that watches over a family!

This photo of an ectoplasm discharge was taken by Ghost Research Sharon Gill of starwest@aone.com during our investigation of the Walker's Home in Kings Valley, OR. A week before, Mr. Walker had called and express concerns about his home being haunted and his children were afraid to be alone in their room. We offered to drive down and conduct an investigation and help them to understand the nature of their haunting and to talk with the children so they would not be afraid of their ghost.

This quiet rural valley is located in the coastal range of Western Oregon. The farm is part of the original 1850 Land Donation Act homestead property and has a long history that includes Indian attacks and outbreaks of diseases that killed many in the valley.

One of the children has had a dream of a strange man saving her from drowning in the creek located on their property. The husband was told in a dream to turn off the portable heater in their room so it wouldn't overheat and catch on fire. It seems that the Walker family experience paranormal events on a regular basis. For a place having such a variety of strange occurrences, the Walker's certainly have a warm, comfortable home. It's an average household, that includes a husband, wife, two active children and assortment of contented cats.

Nothing seemed to be unusual but when the Walker family began to tell us of gates opening and closing by themselves, doors slamming and items disappearing, such as a loaf of bread just removed from the freezer (which has never been found), we understood their concerns. The children are frightened and the cats react strangely to nothing seen by human eyes.

The house is quite charming, but the office, just off the kitchen, emits a different sensation. The room seems to be filled with an electrical charge that can be felt immediately upon crossing the threshold! It felt like very light pin pricks, barely there and yet noticeable. When leaving the room, the sensation was gone.

EMF investigations revealed nothing out of the ordinary. Upon photographing the house, we found nothing on the prints. However, we did discover an ectoplasmic anomaly in one photograph taken in the garage, next to the office which was part of the old structure moved and attached to the newer home. This will be an ongoing investigation. Already we have received correspondence from them stating that they have been keeping track of the occurrences and they do occur around the full and new moon.
