The Hanging Man of Connor Hotel
This artwork was submitted by Aubrye Hanson of wiseman@sprynet.com. CJ, Aubrye brother, did the outline work. Aubrye sent us an e-mail, "I felt obliged to tell you of a discovery I made while looking at your photo gallery. One of your pictures, Ghosts of Connor Hotel 4 , was captioned as being of a vortex, but I believe sincerely that it is a picture of a man hung from the ceiling. I took the picture into a photoshop program, I hope you don't mind that, and outlined the areas to find that the man was distictly clear. If you'd like, I could send you a copy of this outline."

Dave's Notes: Once I examined the artwork and compared it to the actual photograph, I was amazed. I could see the hanging man very clearly. I know that the history of the Connor Hotel in Jerome, AZ was typical of western mining towns. For example, a miner who lost his wages from gambling in the poker room may well have considered death by hanging in the Conner Hotel rather than face his family or creditors.
