According to Rebecca's letter, "The house is approximately 100 years old. My husband's family bought the home for a 'steal' price in 1976. During remodeling they discovered many pictures of Christ set inside the walls. The eldest sister made claims of a presence on the third floor from the beginning, but was never taken seriously. Many first time visitors have politely declined returning, for whatever reason, and a few people claim they've actually seen an apparition in the third story window. Cold spots have been reported as well as unexplained voices. ""Regarding the photo, it was taken with a fairly new camera with no strap, and no 'flaws' appeared in pictures taken before or after this one. We have other pictures from other rolls which seem to have an unsettling pattern. The anomalies are only present in pictures featuring young children. Adjacent photos and those of adults generally do not feature any presences."
Dave's Notes:
It is common to find strange anomalies appearing in photos taken of young children. Perhaps these 'presences' are the spirits of family members checking on their grandchildren or perhaps even great grandchildren. Just because some one dies does not mean that their love and caring attitude dies with them. It is my opinion that love survives the grave and that family members may often return to visit their loved ones, especially their children, grand children and maybe great grand children. In the Far East, the cultural belief is that our spirits do not leave our families, but the spirits of our ancestors are always around the family members. In the West, this belief is foreign and as a result, we fear the spirits that visit us or inhabits our homes. Hopefully, this website will bridge this gulf that exist between cultures and we truly become a global family.
